The Sandhawk is a unique SMG from the first campaign DLC for Borderlands 2, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty. Obviously it is famous for Bee abuse, because of its unlisted pellets. Regardless of the Bee though, the Sandhawk is simply the highest DPS SMG in the game. Some DPS tests have shown that it might be behind the Tattler, due to the tests giving the Sandhawk a lower fire rate to account for burst delay. The Sandhawk does not have a burst delay however, and it will easily out DPS the Tattler. It is also usable at range, which the Tattler is not.

One of the best weapons in the game, but it's best with the Flying prefix to increase projectile speed.
