0:00 Intro
My goal for this image was to get much richer autumn tones and also add some more drama back to the sky as the raw file made it look rather boring. Plus, I wanted the reflection to be a little more visible. Most of the changed were done in Lightroom, I used Photoshop to straighten the trees a bit and remove a few things.

0:18 1. Basic Adjustments
I started by changing the profile to Adobe Landscape which already gives the image more saturation. Then, I adjusted the white balance to get more natural colors. For the next step I wanted to introduce more contrast: I increased the whites, dropped the blacks and slightly pushed the shadows. Furthermore, I increased the texture and the vibrance.

3:40 2. Local Adjustments
Using a linear gradient, I targeted the sky. With it selected, I simply dropped the exposure to make the sky darker, but also, I dropped the white balance temperature, to have a strong contrast between the warm autumn colors and the dark blue sky. I used another linear gradient on the foreground. Here, I simply increased the clarity and the whites to boost the reflection.

5:38 3. Color Adjustments
I started by increasing both the yellow and blue saturation. Then, in the luminance panel, I increased the yellow and orange luminance (the foliage of the trees get brighter) while dropping the blue luminance to make the sky darker.
