今回もご視聴誠にありがとうございます。
2023年4月30日に、名古屋で開催される『JOINTS2023』。
当店も出展致します。

そのためのプロジェクトをスタートさせました。
今回は『50'S BOBBER PROJECTS』というテーマで進めていきます。

カスタムバイクを制作する際に、まず最初にテーマを決めます。
そしてそのテーマに沿って、全体のバランスや、使用する部品、外装の形状や細かなディティールまでを決めていくことになります。

このタンクがカッコいい！このタイヤを履きたい！このハンドルを付けたい！フェンダーを極力短くしたい！等々、カッコいいと思った部品だけを選択し、自分のバイクに付けていく。最終的に仕上がってみると、自分のバイクはどのジャンルなんだろう？？ってことになった経験はありませんか？

チョッパー、ボバ―、フリスコ、カフェレーサー、ダートトラッカー等々、今ではいろいろなジャンルが存在しますが、基本的なベースとなるスタイルを決めておけば、カスタム難民になることはなくなると思います。

さて、今回のボバ―スタイルについてですが、ボバ―という言葉は短くするというbobbedからきている言葉です。そしてボバ―は草バイクレースで生まれたスタイルが由来だといわれています。

WW2終了後のアメリカ。若者を中心に広がっていった草バイクレース。
バイクを速く走らせるために、一番有効だったのは、外装を外していって軽量化することでした。
当時はカスタムショップもなく、自宅ガレージで出来ることは限られていましたが、結果的に出来上がったのは、チョッパーとも違った純正の雰囲気を色濃く残したスタイル。具体的には、短くしたリヤフェンダー、軽量化の為に取り外されたフロントフェンダー、コンパクトなハンドルなど。

そしてアメリカのレースと言えば、ダートトラックレース。そうなると必然的に履かせるべきタイヤも決まってきます。

それらの点を、当店なりに解釈し、ナローでかっこいいボバ―スタイルを作っていきたいと思います。完成をぜひともお楽しみに！！

We have started a project for it.

When we create a custom bike, we first decide on a theme.
Then, according to the theme, we will decide on the overall balance, parts to be used, exterior shape, and even the smallest details.

This tank is so cool! I want these tires! I want this handlebar! I want to make the fenders as short as possible! etc., etc., only the parts that he thinks are cool are selected and attached to his own bike. When you finally finish the bike, you wonder which genre your bike is in. Have you ever had the experience of having to do that?

Chopper, bobber, Frisco, cafe racer, dirt tracker, etc... There are many different genres nowadays, but if you decide on a basic base style, you will never become a custom refugee.

Now, about the bobber style, the word "bobber" comes from bobbed to shorten. And it is said that bobber originated from a style that was born in grass bike racing.

The United States after the end of WW2. Grass bike racing spread mainly among young people.
The most effective way to make motorcycles run faster was to remove the exterior to reduce weight.
At the time, there were no custom stores, and what could be done in a home garage was limited, but what resulted was a style that was different from a chopper and retained a strong genuine feel. Specifically, the shortened rear fender, the front fender removed to save weight, and the compact handlebars.

And speaking of American racing, dirt track racing is the most popular type of racing. This inevitably determines the tires that should be used.

We will interpret these points in our own way to create a narrow and cool bobber style. Please look forward to the completion of this project!
