MXR was a legendary pedal maker that helped shape guitar tones of the 1970s. From their Phase 90, Blue Box, Dyna Comp and Distortion +, through to their break up in 1984, and then on to their revival as a sub-brand of Dunlop Manufacturing, the MXR story will not soon be forgotten.

I demo the Envelope filter, recount MXR's history and try and determine when this pedal was manufactured.
