As per the latest update on Jayalalitha's legacy battle, the top court of India has referred the OPS vs EPS case back to Madras High Court. Earlier, after the violence of July 11, the High Court of Madras ruled out that the keys of the office be handed over to the party head K Palaniswami. The court had quashed Panneerselvam's plea to grant him the possession of party headquarters. It had also directed the party workers to not enter the HQ for a month to avoid any further clashes. The party premises were sealed after a violent clash broke out between supporters of OPS and EPS on July 11, following the AIADMK's general council meeting that voted EPS as its interim general secretary.
