What Do Taiheke Hops Taste Like? SMaSH Beer Experiment

This video showcases our Taiheke SMaSH beer tasting.

John brewed another installment of our long running SMaSH beer series. This week, it's Taiheke hops out of New Zealand. John picked these hops up from Yakima Valley hops.

We both found this hop to be fruity with a mild pleasant bitterness. The fruit character was somewhat tropical but also seemed like black plum or peachy.

This hop would serve well to amplify the fruit character of other hops in a blend for a fruit forward IPA.
