The historic twin towns of Tilba Tilba and Central Tilba are located at the base of Gulaga / Mount Dromedary on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Both towns have an interesting origin story, "Tilba Tilba" was settled by the Bate family, however a disagreement between two brothers lead to the creation of the now larger village of "Central Tilba".

Gulaga / Mount Dromedary is an ex-active volcano that is responsible to much of the local geology, including the creation of the smaller peak "Najanuka / Little Dromedary". These mountains have very special significance to the local "Yuin" aboriginal people.

Through the years the area has seen a gold rush as well as a healthy dairy industry develop, leading to establishment of the very first dairy co-operative in New South Wales.

In this short drive we'll take a look at the towns and along the way I will attempt to provide you with some interesting facts in the form of text based commentary.
