FDA User Fees for FY 2025 were released!

The FDA announced the FY 2025 User Fees yesterday, July 31, 2024. The increase in user fees from FY 2024 to FY 2025 was 11.8%, except for the annual FDA Registration fee, which increased by 21.3% to $9,280.

The pricing may seem like an extremely high increase that substantially exceeds inflation, but the new fees are calculated the same way each year. The total budget for FY 2025, including an inflation adjustment, is divided by the anticipated number of submissions or the number of companies expected to register.

When the FDA announced the FY 2024 increase last year, many people complained that registration used to be free. I remember many subscriptions on the internet used to be free, and they are quite expensive now. I also remember buying gas for less than $1.
