Pomfret Green Masala Curry with coconut Milk - Traditional Mangalorean Recipe

Fish curries are a must in every Mangalorean homes and we cannot do with them. Some people think fish curries always have to be fiery red hot, but it is not true we do make green masala curries and love them Not all curries can be made with green masala, fishes like Pomfret's prawns and bombil tastes very good in green masala also.

This curry is mildly spiced and is enjoyed by kids too. Serve it with plain boiled rice and a dry sabzi on the side.

List Of ingredients

3 medium-sized pomfret
A small pinch of tamarind
5 green chillies
1-inch piece of ginger
3 pods of garlic
1 medium to large onion
A handful of coriander leaves including stems
1 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
3/4 tsp cumin seeds
6 peppercorns
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 onion sliced
2-3 tsp oil
salt as per taste
1 1/4 cup of thick coconut milk
