Filmmaker's First Time Watching THAT THING YOU DO! (1996) Movie Reaction!

THAT THING YOU DO! is as wholesome and sweet as the music played by the movie's fictional 1960s pop-rock band the Oneders (pronounced "Wonders", not "Oh-needers"). This was Tom Hanks' debut feature film both as a director and screenwriter, and he did a wonder-ful job (see what I did there?). Anchored by heartfelt performances by Tom Everett Scott and Liv Tyler, this movie is a touching homage to a nostalgic era of music.
