ABOUT SHIVANI DHILLON :
Shivani Dhillon an ex-BBC journalist, therapeutic storyteller and founder of Samvid-Stories & Beyond and Down Syndrome Support Group India, has been working extensively with kids for the last many years. Shivani, a ex-journalist by profession, is a mother of three, one of whom has down syndrome. Using her journey as a driving force, she is constantly striving to make this world more accepting and empathetic for people with disabilities.

In 2012, she started a support group for people with Down Syndrome which provides free information and advice to new parents. Through her initiative Samvid-Stories & Beyond, she uses the traditional art of oral storytelling to tickle the imagination of children which helps them better express their thoughts and ideas.

Lovingly called Potli Aunty & Miss Jibber Jabber, she specialises in working with people with intellectual disabilities, helping them understand concepts, addressing behaviour challenges, discovering and learning emotions. Besides offering her own storytelling sessions, Shivani has worked with schools, NGOs, corporate and government departments.
