Dhimbam Ghat Road is a 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) ghat road located close to Eastern Ghats extends from Bannari to Dhimbam and is a part of NH 948 cutting across Sathyamangalam Wildlife Sanctuary. Dhimbam Ghat 27 Hairpin bends. Sathyamangalam Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve is a protected area and tiger reserve along the Western Ghats in the Erode District of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. First declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 2008 and enlarged in 2011, it covers a forest area of 1,411.6 km (545.0 sq mi) and is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Tamil Nadu. In 2013, it became the fourth tiger reserve as a part of Project Tiger in the state of Tamil Nadu.
The famous Bannari Amman Temple (a Hindu deity temple) is situated here. The Bannari temple draws huge crowds all over from Tamil nadu and Karnataka throughout the year. Dhimbam Ghat traffic density is high,as many as 1,000 lorries pass through the Bannari check-post on a daily basis.
