This Building in Melbourne Australia has Trains on the Roof

Welcome to Easey’s Burgers in Collingwood Melbourne, a unique burger joint with three train carriages perched on the edge of the building, four storeys up.

From the outside, the building looks like a cold hard office building with a brutal square concrete facade, but the 3 train carriages on the roof, give you an indication there is something very special about this building.

The building was built in 2012, and designed with the specific purpose of housing the 3 railway passenger cars on the roof, and to have a graffiti theme throughout.

The 3 carriages are Hitachi M-Class motor carriages weighting 27 ton each.

The design was conceived by architect Zvi Belling, a director of ITN Architects.

Every town and city has a few unique food places that are a must see and try, as they stand out from the rest, in both the look of the place and the food, Easey’s is one of Melbourne's must see venues.
