Hatyai to Bukit Mertajam by train

A cheaper alternative way to travel back home from Hatyai which was by train. Total travel time is just around 4 hours and 15 minutes.

7:30am (Thai Time) - 8:25am (Thai Time)
2:00pm (Thai Time) - 2:55pm (Thai Time)

For komuter train from Padang Besar to Butterworth, there will be a train every 1 hour interval during peak period and 2 hour interval during off-peak period. Basically, you just need to clear the immigration and buy the train ticket at the ticketing counter / kiosk. Then proceed to the gate and wait at the platform.
