2024 Toyota Fortuner 2.8 4x2 LTD AT | 6-Speed | 204PS 500Nm of Torque

Toyota Fortuner is an SUV with a body-on-frame that uses the "Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle" (IMV) platform. This base and the engine choices are shared by the Hilux and the Innova, but with different outputs. The updated Fortuner boasts a sleeker design than its predecessor and offers customers the choice of a sportier, more durable LTD grade that can be ordered in either a 4x2 or 4x4 configuration.

This SUV has rear-wheel drive in its entry-level 4x2 models. High-end models will include a 4x4 system that can be switched on using a dial in the cabin. It's also important to remember that the choice of a 4x4 system will only be available for versions with 2.8-liter engines.

The standard throughout the lineup are the Bi-beam LED headlamps that were only previously found in the top-of-the-line models prior. The more premium LTD variants will get the all-new look of the Toyota Fortuner. Toyota’s new split-type LED headlights. The new units of fortuner now also feature sequential turn signals that are also LED, giving the LTD a more premium touch. Also only for LTD variants, the rear also gets sequential turn signals.

The Fortuner's chassis options include a multilink system for the back and a double-wishbone setup for the front. Offering improved ride quality, both suspension systems are totally independent. Other than that, vented disc brakes should be present everywhere, and wheels measuring either 17 inches for G versions or 18 inches for V variants and higher. A machine-cut finish gives the LTD trim its own exclusive set of 18-inch wheels.

Driver, front passenger, and knee airbags are standard equipment on all Fortuner models. A total of seven airbags are included in the top trim level, the LTD, which also includes driver, front passenger, side, curtain shield, and knee airbags. Additionally, Toyota included pre-collision warning, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control with the LTD levels of Toyota Safety Sense. Additional safety features include child lock doors, a Toyota vehicle security system, an engine immobilizer, a horn, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ABS with EBD and brake assist, traction control, hill-start assist control, downhill assist control for the 4x4 LTD, and 3-point seatbelts for all occupants.

All Toyota models come standard with a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A backup camera is standard on Fortuner G models, however models V and higher are equipped with Toyota's Panoramic View camera. A nine-speaker JBL audio system will be included with the Fortuner's top trim levels to improve the listening experience. Other than that, proximity sensors will come standard on all models. V models and higher come equipped with wireless charging, USB ports, automatic temperature control, cruise control, and keyless entry with push start as standard features.
