Note - I typically run a compressor pedal (Cali76 Compact Bass) first in my signal chain prior to the HX Stomp, so I usually omit a compressor block in my presets. I would describe these presets as pedalboard effects i.e. I use them like you would with any other effects pedals on your pedal board before your amp. They don’t use any amp or cab sims but still sound great when used for recording direct.

Also as I use my HX Stomp on my pedal board and mainly play it through an amp/cab, I try to set the volume of the signal coming out of the HX Stomp at a similar level to what I put into it for each preset so that I don’t massively increase the gain going to my amp. If you require more gain simply increase the volume of the output of the presets and re-save them.
