The Colour Dodge Sketch Effect and Edge Boost (Live Version)

This is a fairly simple non-destructive (live) method for creating a 'sketch effect' which detects edges and presents them in monochrome. A key part of this method is to use the Colour Dodge Blend Mode (hence the name). Given that this creates darker lines around edges, it is a simple extra step to use this to increase contrast at edges and so product a sharpening effect (sharpening methods also increase edge contrast).
