Making Difficult Selections Using an Easy Drawing Tools

There are useful selection tools in Affinity Photo, notably the Selection Brush that automatically detects edges. However, it can be difficult even for such tools to find the edge when contrast is low. In a previous video we shows how this can be addressed using painting tools. This time, we use drawing tools to outline the area, including the 'Lasso' Freehand Tool and, often more usefully, the Pen and Node tools that create a non-destructive, adjustable shape that can be used as a mask.
