Do you feel like you need to get a massage once a week but can’t afford it? Then it’s time to grab a foam roller and perform this total body foam rolling 20-minute routine!

No matter what you do with your body, chances are you have a few kinks that are limiting your movement, performance potential, and life. Taking a few minutes to foam roll can dramatically improve how you move and how you feel. Foam rolling is a form of self-myofascial release (also known as SMR ) which acts like a deep tissue massage on the body. SMR works to massage out knots, or trigger points, in the muscle fascia and improves blood flow to the muscle. Research has shown that foam rolling improves range of motion and mobility. By increasing your mobility, you will find that you have better posture, less pain, and higher performance and recovery when it comes to daily activities and exercise. Foam rolling can feel uncomfortable at first but it is the type of work that "hurts so good" because it's helping you release tension in your body for less pain.
