Gran Turismo 5 - GT-R Official Record (

Did not at all think I'd ever find myself here again. Back in 2020, I finally conquered one of GT5's hardest PSN trophies. Beating the real life record from April 2008 of a 7:29.03 around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in a Nissan GT-R with a 7:27.186. Since then though I've driven the track much more extensively and have the track memorized far better now than ever. Particularly the latter sections from the 4:50 mark all the way to the long straightaway at the end of the lap. Just did the 4 hour endurance race less than 10 days ago, completing 29 laps in the 2000 JGTC Denso Sard Toyota Supra. Anyway I came back to this yesterday to see if this would all pay off and I could beat my own record. Took a little while to get a full lap in without accidentally running off course but once I finally put it all together, I pulled off a lap nearly 5 seconds faster with a 7:22.189, now close to 7 seconds ahead of the real life time averaging 105.43 MPH. Nearly 1.2 MPH faster. If you feel this might help you get the trophy yourself, I had all assists off except ABS which is set at 1. And I set the front/rear brake balance to 4/8.
