1) Why should we hire you?

Answer Example:
"I am dependable and committed, and I put my heart into my work. I know how it feels to have people in your corner, and I think everyone should be able to feel that way. I had an incredible university admissions officer, and that impacted my experience for the better. I felt supported and cared for, and I want to be that resource for future students. I care deeply about how people feel while interacting with me; I am committed to strong customer service and assisting people to meet their needs."

2) What do you believe is your best asset?

Answer Example:
"I believe my best asset is my ability to follow through. I have strong communication skills, and in my experience, the most helpful people I have worked with have remembered my questions and concerns and followed up with me to address them. I am always impressed when people remember me and make it a point to get in touch. I work hard to treat prospective students the same way. It is impactful when someone remembers specifics about your application or gets in touch regarding a concern. I always want my students to feel like they are in capable hands."

3) Describe a situation where you worked with others who did not agree with your ideas. What did you do?

Answer Example:
"In my last role as a TA at an elementary school, I recommended a new way of offering parent/teacher conferences. The rest of the team was not completely open to changing the way things had always been, and we had limited time to pull it off. Ultimately, the team rejected the idea, but I didn't take it personally. I don't always have the full picture, so I'm comfortable offering ideas that don't always come to fruition. I'm comfortable rolling with the punches and making the best decisions that benefit the team."

4) What do you know about our school?

Answer Example:
"I am most familiar with the fine arts department because my wife has taken summer classes here. I have always been impressed by your wide variety of offerings and your school's commitment to character and integrity beyond academics. I have also spent a decent amount of time on campus, as my family attends several basketball games each year, and I love the energetic and family-oriented atmosphere here. I would be very proud to represent such a well-respected school."

5) What does positive workplace culture look like to you?

Answer Example:
"Positive workplace culture looks like a warm, collaborative environment where everyone feels as if they belong. How people feel at work has a big impact on relationships and performance. I feel most comfortable when I know people's names and have positive relationships with colleagues. I enjoy utilizing the strengths of everyone on the team to work cooperatively. We should also celebrate diversity in the workplace so people can come as they are. Inviting several unique perspectives to the table only makes us a stronger team."
