ICW Boat Trip - NY to Florida Ep27 Lake O to Cape Coral

Time to Celebrate! We are nearing the end of our 1700 mile trip along the intracoastal waterway from New York to Florida. In this episode, we leave the locks of Lake Okeechobee and begin our journey west through the canals of the Caloosahatchee River. We traverse a few locks (Morehaven lock, Ortona lock, Franklin Lock) visit the Boathouse Restaurant on the water for some dock and dine and celebratory drinks. We see some great sights in Downtown Fort Myers (before Hurricane Ian!) and catch a glimpse of the famous Luminary Hotel with its rooftop bar. We finally arrive at Cape Coral by Tarpon a point Marina and Westin Hotel. Not wanting to go home just yet, we drop anchor and spend the final night watching a fierce lightning and thunderstorm on the boat.
