The Electro-Voice "Variable-D" Series is one of the most popular dynamic microphone series ever made. These microphones have a reduced proximity effect that allow for easy mixing on sources that could use a pre-EQ-d microphone. In this video we compare three vintage Electro-Voice models that use the "Variable-D" principle.
