what you will be needing

1 1/3 c. coconut milk
1 1/2 c. half and half
1/3 c. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 beaten egg yolks
1 1/3 c. sweetened coconut I chop mine up more
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract

1 9 inch pie crust
cool whip topping much as you like
1/4 c. toasted coconut for top of pie
