I’ve been studying Navajo recently, and I managed to get in touch with a Navajo Native American family who lives in the Arizona desert totally off the grid, over a hundred miles, often on dirt roads, from the nearest small shopping town, with no address, no running water, no cell service, and until just a few years ago no electricity either. They actually had to legally fight to be able to get drivers licenses with just a general area rather than a specific address.

It’s extremely rare for outsiders to get to experience this very traditional and very hardcore lifestyle, and I’m so grateful to them for opening up their home to me and my friends @DaveDisci and @SeaboltSpeaks.
