2018 Lake to Ocean 100k Florida trail race

The lake to ocan trail race begins it journey at lake Okeechobee in Port Mayaca, Florida. The runners will travel 61 miles/ 100 kilometers through beautiful and wild open spaces DuPuis Reserve, Corbett WMA, Loxahatchee slough, Johnathon Dickensen state park and ending at Hobe Sound beach on Jupiter Island Florida.
This is a point to point race and each runner must have crew to supply hydration, nutrition and provide aid at designated points along the trail. The race must be completed in 18 hours and they must leave Riverbend checkpoint by 7:30pm or they will not be able to continue the race.
Three weeks of continual rain compounded with tropical storm Alberto left the trail saturated and all the high grounds were flooded. This will be an unprecedented race!
