Guyver Legends | David Hayter | X-Men, Metal Gear Solid and Guyver 2: Dark Hero

Donavon Thompson and David Hayter sit down for an exclusive interview to talk about David's life in screenwriting, his love for acting in front of the camera and behind the audio booth. And of course, it wouldn't be called "Guyver Legends" without talking about the making of "Guyver 2: Dark Hero".

David Hayter, a Canadian-American actor, screenwriter, director, and producer, hails from Santa Monica, California. Renowned for his multifaceted talents, he gained widespread recognition as the English-language voice actor for Solid Snake and Naked Snake in the Metal Gear video game series. In addition to his voice acting prowess, Hayter is acclaimed for his screenwriting contributions, having penned the script for "X-Men" and co-written "X2" and "Watchmen". His exceptional work on "X-Men" earned him the prestigious Saturn Award for Best Writing in 2000. Beyond his cinematic endeavors, Hayter lent his voice to the character King Shark on the CW's "The Flash" and Captain America in 1994's "Spider-Man: The Animated Series".

And as any Guyver Geek would know, David Hayter plays the main protagonist AKA Sean Barker/The Guyver in Steve Wang's 1994 tokusatsu epic, "Guyver 2: Dark Hero".

ABOUT -- Guyver 2: Dark Hero

Released in 1994, "Guyver 2: Dark Hero" stars David Hayter and is directed by Steve Wang. Inspired by Yoshiki Takaya's "Bio-Booster Armor Guyver", the film follows Sean Barker has he reels from the fallout of the destruction of Cronos LA. When Sean discovers an archeological dig that could give him answers about "The Guyver", he once again falls into the trappings of the Cronos Corporation and will discover his destiny, once and for all.
