Here’s a fun fact for you: polarity isn’t a man-made concept, it’s something that is ingrained into the very fabric of our universe. While we might argue about which actions lay where on what spectrum of explanation these days, you gotta admit that life’s simpler when you see things in neat opposites. And maybe that’s what the Big Bang thought as well, because when it decided to give birth to the universe, it gave rise to two opposing concepts that occupy all creation; and perhaps something beyond it, as well. Human beings are composed entirely of one of those things, and so is most of the current known universe. But while matter is all around us, its counterpart is so rare that scientists can only synthesize it in negligible quantities and strictly for research. While anti-matter is the borderline-absentee counterpart of matter in our universe, in DC, it is the source of the alternate universe from where its most dangerous threats emerged for a very long time. And of all these threats, one entity managed to re-shape the entire DC continuity.
