Haile Gebrselassie attempts to win a 5th Bupa Great Manchester Run, as he leads the the UKs biggest 10km road race through the streets of Manchester. He will face serious competition from Kenyan marathon world record holder Patrick Makau, and fellow Ethiopians Ayele Abshero and Tsegaye Kebede.

The women's race sees former World 10,000m Champion Linet Masai take on British marathon no.1 Mara Yamauchi, plus future Team GB stars Charlotte Purdue and Gemma Steel.
