How to Brew Different Volumes with the April Brewing Kit | Coffee with April

This week, we decided to put together a video demonstrating our approach to different sizes of brew when using the April Brewing Kit and a Comandante grinder.

We regularly get requests for recipes that can help you brew more coffee using one method. In this video, we brew three different recipes using slightly different grind sizes and a selection of pouring structures.

We reached for a fresh and floral coffee for this recipe, our Ilubabor from Ethiopia, although we believe this pouring structure can work with all current April coffees.

You can replicate the recipes featured in this video by using the following guidelines:

All recipes utilize clean and filtered water at approximately 45ppm total hardness, with 94°C water temperature.

13g Coffee - 200g Water
- 0:00 - 0:10 - 100g Pour - 30g Circle Pour / 70g Center Pour
- 0:35 - 0:45 - 100g Pour - 30g Circle Pour / 70g Center Pour
