Catfishing a FLOODED Desert River! (Rare Arizona Fishing Opportunity)

This is one I have been excited for some time now! We caught our Arizona pb channel catfish! The desert river is flooded to the brim, but there are still some really nice fish to be caught.

The river has not flooded like this since 1993 according to sources. This influx of water is coming from the reservoirs up north releasing water to cope with the snow melt this year. The usually dry salt river is now a raging torrent.

This water is traveling all the way down even to Arlington AZ and beyond. Catfishing has never been hotter here in Arizona. This water has reset the fish and pushed in some bigger more aggressive channel catfish. Flooding is one of the best opportunities to get on come fish here in AZ.

The hot bait was chicken liver as per usual. For some reason this day is all they would commit to. Arizona catfishing season has commenced! The ponds won’t be stocked for another few weeks, but catfish are all over the flooded desert river.

The flooding in Arizona has led to some amazing channel catfishing. Go and get it while you can! This hasn’t happened in years!
