Patrode is originally a unique Karnataka dish made from colocasia leaves. Over time this dish has been adopted by various states in India.

Ingredients:-

To make the dough
Red Boiled Rice -2 cups
Colocasia leaves -15
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Tamarind - lemon sized
Byadagi chilli -5
Cumin -1/2 tsp
Coriander seeds -1 Tbsp
Salt -1/2 tsp
Add one a 2-3 tbsp of water while grinding the rice

For the masala :-

Grated 🥥 -3/4
Byadagi -10
Coriander seeds-2 Tbsp
Cumin -1 tsp
Poppy seeds -1 tsp
Cinnamon -2
Cloves -3
Black pepper -10
Ginger -1 inch
Garlic pods -10
Tomato -1
Onion -1/2
Turmeric -1/4 tsp
Roast all the ingredients using 1 tbsp of oil

For seasoning

Oil/ghee -4 Tbsp
Onion -1/2
Salt
