Singtom Tea Estate is one of the oldest tea estates in Darjeeling where nature meets heritage in a charming way. The resort is located about 6 km from Darjeeling town.

Singtom Tea estate was established in 1854 by a German priest, fondly known as Father Steinthal in the area. He had actually started tea plantation in 1852 at Steinthal Tea Estate. The tea bungalow was built in 1862.

Stay:

The resort has only 4 suites all beautifully decorated keeping in mind the heritage of the place. All the rooms are huge, bright and airy having mountain views and are spectacular in their own way. All the rooms have a personal fireplace. The dining area is just beyond the lounge and you can enjoy your meals with views of Kanchenjunga. Just beyond the dining area, the door leads to a patio. This is where you get a magnificent and unobstructed view of the Kanchenjunga ranges.

Food:

The food provided at the resort is strictly vegetarian and majority of the items are produced organically from their gardens. They have a large number of items and you can choose from North Indian, South Indian, Chinese and continental fare. There are also some lip smacking fusion dishes like Pav Bhaji Dosas, beetroot Momos, okra Idlis and others.

How to Reach?
The nearest airport is the Bagdogra Airport near Siliguri Town. Bagdogra is well connected by flights from other major cities of India. New Jalpaiguri is the nearest Railway station. Both shared and private vehicles are available from New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri town to reach Darjeeling. Private cars are available from Bagdogra airport to Darjeeling.
