A town or small community in West Bengal's Darjeeling Hills famed for its extensive tea output is called Mim Tea Garden, sometimes referred to as Mim Busty by the locals. Between Sukhiapokhri and Lepchajagat of the Darjeeling Hills, Mim Busty or Mim Tea Garden is tucked away at a height of roughly 5000 feet above sea level. Mim Tea Village or Mim Busty is surrounded by a very calm and serene atmosphere, making it the perfect relaxing getaway for nature enthusiasts in the foothills of the Himalayas. The British founded Mim Tea Garden or Tea Estate in the middle to end of the nineteenth century. The name of this tea garden, "Mim," is derived from the colloquial or regional language "Mem," which is used by the locals to refer to a British lady as "Mem Sahab." Earlier, during the time of British control in India, a British lady oversaw and cared for this tea estate of Mim Tea Village. The residents of this village referred to this tea garden as "Mem Ko Kaman," which means the garden run by a British lady. The majority of the plants in Mim Tea Garden's garden are Chinese cultivars. The teas from "First Flush," "Oolongs," and other "Colonal teas" are the ones that are more popular here. Here you can also find rare varieties of white tea. Tiger is around 12 miles distant from Mim Tea Garden, and Sukhiapokhri is the closest town, at a distance of about 4 km. On a clear day, Mim Tea Garden or Mim Tea Garden gives magnificent views of Darjeeling town and the snow-capped Himalayan mountains of Mt. Kanchenjunga. For those who want to spend their vacation in the lap of Mother Nature with nothing but total peace and tranquilly all around, Mim Tea Garden is the perfect entry point. Mid- to late-1800s saw the founding of Mim Tea Garden. About 390.52 hectares total make up Mim Tea Garden.
