Swiss Miniatur G Gauge Railway Park - Complete Tour

A 20-minute tour of the entire Swiss Miniatur Garden Railway. It is reached by a 10-minute train ride south from Lugano. Many iconic structures and scenes are modeled in a scale appropriate to the mostly 22.5:1 LGB trains. You do not have to be a model railroad fan to appreciate the beautiful buildings, the history, the recreated scenery and the grounds. If you enjoy a visit to Swiss Miniatur, you absolutely MUST visit Swiss Vapeur Parc, reached by a pretty boat ride across Lake Geneva from Montreux. At this site, park-size rideable trains take you around the attraction, or you can just amble. And if you want to see the BEST railway attraction in Switzerland, check out Blonay-Chamby Railway Museum, where you can get up close and personal with many working, vintage meter gauge locomotives and rolling stock. I rate Blonay-Chamby even higher than the fantastic Verkehrshaus transport museum in Luzern, if you are interested in a hands-on experience and possibly a ride on a vintage train.
