“Often misunderstood in the canter work … a lot of people think that collection needs to be slow and that the canter needs to change, and therefore it makes cantering the horse difficult … You don’t want to change your canter when you collect it. What you should think of doing on most horses, is making the canter big and making the canter small … bringing it down to a canter you can use.”
