How to fit a relay to heated grips on a motorcycle. This means the heated grips can only be turned on when the engine is running and acts as a fail safe so you can't walk away from the motorcycle and leave the grips on. Saves your battery.

When the engine is turned off at the end of your journey the relay shuts off the power to the grips. The relay should be switched by a live source. I favour the rear light as that's always on when the engine is on.
