During my last visit to this 64-year old eatery for breakfast, I learnt there were a bunch of popular dishes that were served only in the evening. And so when the opportunity to return to Gurudatta Bhavan, Hubli, presented itself on our recent drive to Goa, we jumped at the opportunity to savour these scrumptious snacks, some that though with roots far removed from the city have somehow come together in interesting avatars that the denizens of this city have fallen in love with over the decades.
