Blood clotting time determination is very essential for self-use because it provides information about the time required to form a clot. blood has t be clot when it comes out from the torn part.
there are two main methods to determine the blood clotting time-
1- capillary tube methods
2- slide method

blood clotting time determination by slide method is comparatively easy than a capillary method because the capillary method requires special skill to fill the blood inside the capillary tube.

here are few steps to do so
1- sterilize your finger with 90% ethanol
2- select 4-5 level of depth in pricker pen
3- prick your finger using pricker pen and gently press your finger to allow blood to come out in sufficient quantity
4- place a capillary tube just beside the blood drop
allow penetrating blood drop in the capillary tube
5-again press your finger gently to get a new blood drop
6- repeat the process until a sufficient volume of blood is achieved.
