North Carolina vs. Syracuse: The third-seeded Tar Heels stunned the second-seeded Orange, handing the once undefeated 'Cuse a 15-9 defeat in the semifinals. UNC advances to the championship game and will have a chance to win their seventh consecutive ACC Championship. North Carolina pounced on Syracuse early, scoring six unanswered goals in the first quarter. It was the Orange's first scoreless first quarter of the season. UNC would expand the lead to 10-2 by halftime. Freshmen Caroline Godine and Marissa White each had a hatrick in the first half. Godine finished the game with a career-high six goals, plus an assist. Caitlyn Wurzburger scored one goal and had four assists. For Syracuse, Meaghan Tyrrell and Emma Ward each scored two goals.
