The Iran, US Israel war is escalating dramatically as reports emerge of a major attack on Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport, one of Iran’s busiest airports. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht‑e‑Ravanchi warned European countries that any state joining US and Israeli aggression against Iran would become a legitimate target for Iranian retaliation. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that a new wave of Iranian missiles was launched toward Israel, forcing Israel’s air defense systems to activate in order to intercept the incoming threats.

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, accused the United States and Israel of deliberately targeting schools, hospitals, and civilian infrastructure during the strikes. The United States has denied intentionally attacking civilian sites but confirmed that an investigation into a school bombing in Iran is underway.

At the White House, Donald Trump claimed the US military is doing an “extraordinary job” destroying Iran’s military capability. According to Trump, Iran’s navy, air force, communications systems, and multiple leadership structures have been severely damaged, and many Iranian naval vessels have been destroyed.

Trump also declared that the United States would accept no agreement with Iran except “unconditional surrender.” He added that after a new acceptable leadership emerges in Iran, the US and its allies would work to stabilize the country.

At the same time, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian thanked Vladimir Putin for Russia’s political support during the crisis. Reports from US Central Command indicate that more than 3,000 targets inside Iran have been struck, with 43 ships destroyed or damaged during Operation Epic Fury, making it the largest US military operation in the Middle East in decades.

In an interview on 60 Minutes, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth addressed questions about whether Russia is sharing intelligence with Iran about US military installations. While he did not confirm the reports, he stated that the US is tracking all developments closely and adjusting its war plans accordingly. According to Brad Cooper, the number of strikes conducted in the first 24 hours of the operation nearly doubled the opening strikes of the 2003 Iraq War, highlighting the scale of the current conflict.
