Skinny Microphones on FX3/FX30 (MKE600 /NTG5)

How do you mount skinny microphones like the Sennheiser MKE600 & Rode NTG5 in the XLR handle microphone mount on the Sony FX3 and FX30 without the microphone wobbling around?

I've seen these rubber spacers being mentioned on various facebook groups so I decided to give them a try, before i turned to wrapping my microphone with layers of tape to make it thicker.

It works surprisingly well, I tested on my Sennheiser MKE600 and came to the conclusion that 1 plus 1/4 spacer is kind of the perfect thickness for a nice and secure fit in the XLR handle mount. I would suggest to superglue these pieces together once you've found the perfect ratio for your microphone.
