Amrutha rejoices as a lady vegetable seller proclaims that she is pregnant. Seeing Amrutha eat a raw mango, Varsha plots to fool Seeta by claiming Amrutha's pregnant. However, Amrutha's joy is shortlived as she remembers Arjun saying that he had not spent the night with her!

The story walks through the happenings in Desai family. It is a traditional business family, headed by strict and stubborn Urmila Devi. Varsha and Amrutha, the two daughter in laws of Desai family, differs in personality. Amrutha is a lovable, innocent girl, who is the favorite daughter in law of Urmila, while Varsha is very selfish and rude. Arjun, Amrutha’s husband behaves like he has no love towards her. However, there is love and care inside the heart of Arjun, which is yet to come out in the open.
