TWAY'S CHICKEN ADOBO RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

6 Chicken thighs
1 tbsp cooking oil
3/4 cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup of chicken stock
1/2 cup of water
1 tsp fish sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/3 chopped garlic
4 bay leaves
Garlic
1/2 black pepper
Green onions
1 lime

DIRECTIONS
1. In a pot, heat up 1 tbsp cooking oil.
2. Minced garlic (as much as you want) add it to the pot. Do not burn the garlic, we only want it golden.. NOT golden brown .. just golden.
3. Pat & dry chicken thighs then add the chicken thighs skin face down into the pot.
4. While the chicken is starting to cook, prepare the sauce. Add 3/4 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup of chicken broth & pour it into the pot.
5. Add 4 bay leaves and cover for 10 mins.
6. After 10 mins add in 1 tbsp of thinly sliced ginger, squeeze in 1/2 lime & 2 tbsp of brown sugar (can substitute for reg sugar).
7. Let chicken simmer for 15 mins.
8. Thinly chop green onions at a diagonal for plating.
9. After 15 mins, plate your chicken and garnish with black pepper and green onions.
10. Serve and enjoy!
