Just two years ago, MCSO became one of 3 fully accredited agencies in North Carolina to receive the Triple Crown Award, which recognizes sheriff's offices that receive simultaneous accreditation from C.A.L.E.A., American Correctional Association (ACA) and National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC).
