Insane Chicagoland Hot Spot Action at Blue Island & Dolton, IL

During my time in Illinois, some time was spent at two of the arguably busiest rail junctions in the Chicago area, Blue Island Junction and Dolton Junction. Both locations are incredibly busy railroading crossroads, with diamond intersections at both spots. Blue Island hosts the CSX Elsdon and Blue Island Subdivisions, the Indiana Harbor Belt Mainline and Iowa Interstate trackage, with Metra's Rock Island District overhead. BNSF, CN, CSX, IHB, Iowa Interstate and UP Trains can be seen here, while Dolton Jct hosts the UP Villa Grove Subdivision, the CSX Barr Subdivision and the IHB Main Line. Dolton Junction was a rain out but some good trains were seen despite the diminished video quality as a result of the weather, and some solid action was seen at Blue Island as well, so let's get started...
