Formed in Torrance, California in 1965, the Yellow Payges became regulars at the Hullabaloo club in Hollywood. After a number of changes in the lineup, the band made their debut recording, “Never See The Good In Me” in 1967 on the Showplace label, distributed by Cameo Parkway.

The following year, they signed with Uni and opened their account with “Our Time Is Running Out” – a Jim Webb composition in a year when he was hot with “Up Up And Away”.

The band made an album and about half a dozen singles for Uni and grazed the charts when “I’m A Man” bubbled under at #102 in 1970.
