I don't remember where I got this picture record. Perhaps it was a gift.

According to information on the internet, RCA-Victor produced a series of picture records in the early 1930s (possibly only during 1933), with the picture laminated in clear plastic [!] into which the record grooves were pressed. Picture records were more expensive and the Depression made them unaffordable. The idea of putting an illustration on a record disc was revived in the 1940s more successfully.

The waltz, "Adorable", is from the 1933 movie, "Adorable," starring Janet Gaynor and Henry Garat. The story takes place in a mythical kingdom in central Europe and the movie begins with a "Servants' Ball" at a country inn. The two stars dance to the strains of the "Adorable" waltz. The complete film can be found on Youtube.

"You're so completely adorable!
Is the way to your heart explorable?
Would you enjoy it at all if I
Try to qualify now as we dance?
Answer your dancer, Adorable!
Will this night be divine or deplorable?
You're so completely adorable!
Is there a chance of romance?"
