Hey everybody, I'm back again with more solo videos showcasing the Summer Sideshow update. I played the map Airship, the updates main event with it's steampunk theme. It fits well with Killing Floor's aesthetic. Airship is a neatly detailed map perfectly fitting the tone of the update. It's layout is small but simple to remember, I held out on the end of the ship overlooking the back deck. I chose Sharpshooter for the run to showcase the new M99 sniper for Sharpshooter. It was pretty difficult to make the run look entertaining throughout. This was mostly due to my weapon selection and the zeds spawn rate is quite slow depending on where you hold. And the M99 isn't that great of a weapon to show off. It's boring to use and to watch at least from my perspective. Needless to say, It's ridiculously overpowered.

On to the other features of this update I want to discuss, I have a lot to say about this update regarding the upgrade system, and the new zeds the EDARs. Firstly, The weapon upgrade system is a total wreck, tipping the balance of the game and all the weapons. Leaving an unpolished, imbalanced system at the moment. I welcome the idea of adding such a system to the game, but it's approach for this update was not well thought out and because of that, I feel KF2 will suffer because of it. It'll take some time for the game to even out it's flaws but it won't be for quite a while. As for the addition of the EDARs, I personally don't like them at all. They offer nothing to the game. They're essentially impenetrable bullet sponges that ain't fun to engage with, and aren't gratifying enough to kill. They have no reliable weaknesses, and punish the player to harshly, handicapping the players own abilities. Now, I wouldn't mind them so much but in there current state they need a serious rework, or be removed entirely.

More videos coming soon, thanks for watching and enjoy.
