The patient is also seen 1 month post surgery. This patient applied imiquimod topical/aldara to the surgical site to reduce the risk of keloid recurrence, and was left with a cosmetically more elegant scar than he previously had. Keloids can be a source of embarrassment and do not have to be permanent.
